Early Book Review: Thane’s Redemption (The Song #1) by Nina Crespo

This story has a lot of potential. It’s original and creative and features characters you want to get to know better. Unfortunately, it’s simply far too short. The romance moves so quickly at first that it feels forced, or like maybe the reader isn’t getting the whole picture. Likewise, the characters (initially) aren’t very well developed – not enough to carry the depth of emotion the story wants to portray, anyway. The time-traveling premise, while intriguing, really needs to be better explained and more organically demonstrated.

There are moments of real, strong emotional connections and then, shortly after, the pace skips too far ahead. After [...]

Book Review: Lick (Stage Dive #1) by Kylie Scott

The premise for Lick is simply delightful. Girl wakes up on a hotel bathroom floor, with the hangover from hell and staring at a hot, shirtless, tatted-up dude who smiles down at her like she's his everything, then finds out she's gotten married to a rock star and has his name inked across her ass. That could have come off as cheesy or felt staged, but the delivery was absolute gold. That first scene had me hooked even before David said a single word, before we got a literary look at his gorgeous hair and tight jeans. The interplay between them just made the story that much more NECESSARY to read. Seriously people, if you like rock star romances - hell, if you like any contemporary [...]

Crash Into Me by Tracy Wolff

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

There are a lot of similarities between this book and the first few stories in the Sinners On Tour series (which I think is a fabulous thing since I’m absolutely addicted to the Sinners boys): attractive single woman on tour with a megastar 5-man rock band made up of single-yet-emotionally-unavailable guys when it comes to romance, each with his own dark history. Oh, and a hot as hell lead singer who all the groupies chase after for his smoky voice on stage and sexy moves in the bedroom.

The sexual tension between Jamison and Ryder is stellar, steamy and well developed. My biggest frustration with the [...]

Book Review: Double Time (Sinners on Tour #5) by Olivia Cunning

Double Time is the last book in the Sinners On Tour series, and I read it second (after Wicked Beat). I don't recommend doing that unless you don't mind some major plot spoilers, and you definitely don't want to start with Double Time if you've never read any Sinners books because you'll miss out on the history between Trey and a lot of the other band members and their wives. Trey Mills, the sex god rhythm guitarist for Sinners, is bi-sexual and has "helped" his band mates hook up with all their ladies. He's also been in love with his best friend most of his life...
