American Queen (American Queen #1) by Sierra Simone #BookReview
American Queen is both gut-wrenching and reverent, like finding religion in a war zone. It does end on a bit of a cliffhanger, as does the follow-up American Prince. This series is meant to be read as a full trilogy, and the wait time between each volume will haunt you with memories and feelings about these characters and their impossible situation. Read them now and suffer til Ash's book comes out? Or wait and devour them all at once? That's a tough question. How much do you value your sanity? Regardless of whether you take on this oh-so-addicting book now or when the full series is available, the experience will be memorable and the feels will leave you breathless.

Protege by Lydia Michaels #BDSM #BookReview
Jude & Colette's journey is fraught with emotions as they push each other's personal boundaries and take baby steps toward a happiness neither is convinced is possible. Protege is emotionally charged and deeply satisfying. Readers who love authors like Joey Hill and crave a softer, gentler Dom will adore Lydia Michaels's Protege. This story is also a great introduction to the intricacies of the BDSM lifestyle for those starting to explore, as it demonstrates all the physicality while emphasizing the importance of personal choice and finding just the right partner for both safety and happiness.

Loving You Easy (Loving on the Edge #9) by Roni Loren #BookReview
Loving You Easy is edgy and sexy and intense and heart breaking and totally entertaining. Parts of this book are laugh-out-loud funny and other parts are pulse-poundingly suspenseful. I adored that the author is able to infuse such emotional range into a single story. It’s just all the best things, and even after finishing it, I felt fulfilled and happy. That warm glow is what readers chase, and I am delighted to find that feeling with a new-to-me author. Loving You Easy may be one of the best books of 2016.
