by davincikittieOctober 9, 2011

Welcome to the WEEK 1 Sign-Up of the Breaking Dawn Part 1 Countdown Giveaway Hop

…hosted by GraveTells and The Twilight Girl.
To participate, read the rules listed below, then enter your blog name and address in the linky below!

This giveaway hop lasts from October 21-27.

Signups for participating blogs are STILL OPEN for Week 1!

To see info (or signup) for Weeks 1, 2, 3, and 4, go here!

The Rules

  • The Breaking Dawn Countdown Giveaway Hop badge image needs to be part of your giveaway post.  See the links below for the badges for the individual weeks.
  • If participating in multiple weeks, you must create a new post for EACH week you are participating in, meaning you need to also sign up for the linky on each one and make a new post on your blog about each week so that readers can enter them separately.
  • You must link back to THIS announcement page clearly and in an obvious location in your post.
  • Keep it somewhat simple and easy to enter by having no more than one (1) mandatory entry and no more than six (6) optional entries.  Daily tweets optionals are okay.
  • The prize(s) you give away must be Twilight-related in some way. (Gift cards to booksellers or even e-readers are fine, since the Twilight books can be read on them, as well as dvds, soundtrack cds, swag… etc)
  • Please state whether or not your giveaway is open to international entries, and if so which countries.
  • The giveaway and prize must be specifically for this hop and not shared with any other concurrent giveaway or hop you are participating in or hosting.
  • Keep your giveaway easy to find for the entire 7 days each hop is open.  If you post often and your post does not stay near the top of your main blog page then please post a link to your giveaway at the top of your blog or sidebar. If we can’t easily find your giveaway you will be deleted from the linky.

The Giveaway Hop widgets are COUNTDOWN timers*!!

The code for the widgets is below.  *Note that the domain and other blog sites that are unable to use scripts will not be able to display the countdown timer badge.  We’ve created an alternative display badge for these participants (shown below).  Note also that the countdown timer badges will NOT show up in RSS readers or emails, so while having the countdown timer badge on your sidebar is recommended for flash and coolness factor, using the static badges below is recommended for your giveaway postings (or just put them both in!  =) ).

There are two sizes of badges you can use and each size has both the countdown and static image code provided below:

Large countdown badge Large static badge

Small countdown badge Small static badge

To Sign Up To Host A Giveaway:

Post a comment to the bottom of this post and enable the checkbox to add your blog to the linky below! Be sure to include your shipping info in parenthesis after your blog name. Ex: GraveTells (US)
Please mark your calendars. A reminder email will be sent out a few days before the hops starts.
Questions can be emailed to: davincikittie(at)gravetells(dot)com

What your giveaway post should include

After checking out the Rules above, be sure your Giveaway post includes a clear link to this signup page so that readers can click on the linky to hop to the next giveaway. The linkly only exists on this page, so you won’t be able to display it on your own. All the buttons above automatically link back here, so if you use one of those, just be sure to make it obvious that clicking it is how readers hop!

What's your reaction?
