Book Review: Served Hot (Portland Heat #1) by Annabeth Albert

*** This review is SPOILER-FREE! Read on with confidence! ***

Served Hot is a cozy read about two men who meet and dance a slow, heartwarming romance over coffee. The story is told from Robbie’s POV in first person, which really showcases his adorable personality and geeky Portland ways. David is very “accountant”, with his starched shirts and awkward segues, and harbors a painful, emotionally debilitating past.

There were moments in this story that gave real, truly touching, glimpses into the deeper emotions that blend together a couple’s yesterdays, todays, and tomorrows. The plot didn’t feel contrived or [...]

Early Book Review: Thane’s Redemption (The Song #1) by Nina Crespo

This story has a lot of potential. It’s original and creative and features characters you want to get to know better. Unfortunately, it’s simply far too short. The romance moves so quickly at first that it feels forced, or like maybe the reader isn’t getting the whole picture. Book Review: Once (Gypsy Fairy Tale #1) by Dana Michelle Burnett

Burnett's jump-off for her new series is short, sweet, and to the point. It reads as a first book probably should. It sets up the characters and main conflicts with palatable, if not always great, finesse. With a stable start and a compelling leading couple under her belt, her next books promise to only do more to improve the series. Once is a definitely worth a look!

Book Review: Tall, Dark, and Divine (Bagging a Greek God #1) by Jenna Bennett

This story had great potential, but in the end, didn’t quite deliver. I was more enthralled with the secondary character, Dionysus, and his interaction with Ariadne. I would most likely check out his book. Tall, Dark, and Divine is Worth A Look.
