Micro-Review: Covet Thy Neighbor (Tucker Springs #4) by L.A. Witt
Covet Thy Neighbor is a love story between two men, one of whom is a Christian minister and the other an atheist tattoo artist, so I'll assume if you're interested in reading this story you are at least a little open minded about both m/m relationships and differences in religion. That said, the characters are likable and deeper than surface level and their discussion of religion and homosexuality is well written, engaging without being overbearing or offensive either way.
The characters have depth and their conversations- and disagreements- are believable. The conclusion of the story is satisfying and makes sense, and doesn't require either of them to change who they are to be with [...]

Micro-Review: Never A Hero (Tucker Springs #5) by Marie Sexton
Never A Hero is a story I very nearly stopped reading before getting to the good part... not that it doesn't start out well, but it takes a while for timid characters to grow on me and Owen is practically a shut-in. Boy am I glad I kept going, because it went from just okay to pleasantly engaging to wowsers intense. Both heroes have major personal issues to work through before they can have a shot at their happily ever after and both of their paths to redemption are risky and emotionally painful.
The love scenes are fairly tame... not too graphic but honest enough to feel like what a man might actually think and feel about his male partner. They also are somewhat sparse, used to [...]
