Early Book Review: The Eternity Cure (Blood of Eden #2) by Julie Kagawa
Julie always manages to write gripping, emotional stories, and The Eternity Cure is no different. Even though it's the middle book in a series, it's still compelling and unique. Allie is a likeable and strong heroine who readers will root for to have a happy ending. You can't help but feel for her as she struggles to fight her instincts and protect the boy she cares so much about. The secondary characters are all interesting and have distinct personalities, which ensures no two characters are alike. The world-building in the book is remarkable and original, and the plot is fast-paced after the first few chapters. The second half of the novel is especially captivating and contains [...]

Micro-Review: The Eternity Cure (Blood of Eden #2) by Julie Kagawa
Holy krikes, Batman! I'm gonna keep this short because I'm a little traumatized from finally finishing this book to think coherently. I generally don't enjoy urban fantasy and this book is GOOD urban fantasy, even better than The Immortal Rules. Julie Kagawa is a master at painting vivid, gut-wrenching scenes and taking the plot in twists and turns you just can't predict. And if you can predict them, you really hope like hell you're wrong and what you think is going to happen, doesn't.

"I like the format of the reviews and it helps me decide if a book is a ‘go get this now’, ‘wait until you’re in the mood’, ‘maybe- if there’s nothing else to read’ or ‘probably not the book match for me’. I eagerly look to see what quotes are presented and I find the ‘if you like-’ comparisons possibly as telling as the actual review. Way to go, guys!"
