Book Review: Cowboy Justice (Catcher Creek #2) by Melissa Cutler
Cowboy Justice by Melissa Cutler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Ms. Cutler must have been exorcising some serious demons when she wrote Cowboy Justice because it is raw and rough, emotionally and physically. You can almost reach out and touch the connection between Rachel and Vaughn, it’s so strong and sometimes almost overwhelming, The weight of the personal responsibilities they both bear is enough to make me appreciate my cozy late mornings and nightly few minutes of free time.
Even so, their story is passionate and packed with action and adventure. Rachel and Vaughn are both very strong, motivated individuals and ‘stubborn’ seems to be a trait they happily share. Cowboy Justice is a veritable roller coaster of emotion and 110% worth the ride. I highly recommend reading The Trouble With Cowboys first so you can get to know many of the secondary characters and their intertwined history.
If you like contemporary westerns that are grounded in the gritty realities of actual ranch livelihood and feature the soaring vistas of the stunning American desert landscape, the Catcher Creek series is a must-read!
