9/11: Forever remembered, forever thankful
September 11th is a special day for Americans, for many reasons all stemming from the same terrible events. Last year, I shared a letter from the founder of meetup.com about how many people’s lives have been forever changed for the better by one humble site trying to offer a community of comeraderie and friendship based on common interests. It’s a touching letter, so take a few minutes to read it if you have a little time to spare.
This year, I wanted to just briefly say thanks to all the men and women, foreign and domestic, who have sacrificed their time, funds, energy, and lives to protect our safety and uphold the freedom that makes the USofA such a unique and comfortable place to live. Freedom is not free, and those who keep us safe rarely get to experience the fruits of their labor, so to everyone who makes a difference… including those of you who selflessly support our heroes… thank you.
You are remembered. You are loved.
Heartfelt words, DVK. Nicely put and to the point. Well done.
