Him (Him #1) by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy #BookReview #GTBA15

This is a feel good romance that does everything right. The characters are addicting, the relationship is deep and well founded, and the outcome is believable. While told from dual male first person perspective (present tense), the dialogue of these two young men feels authentic: no shadow of an overtly female brain penning their thoughts and actions. Wes and Jamie are virile, rough young men, and the prose honestly reflects that. HIM is the 2015 GraveTells Book of the Year!

Book Review: Trying To Score (Assassins #2) by Toni Aleo

Fallon, the heroine of this story, can hold a serious grudge. Like, Olympic worthy, if bickering were a competitive sport. And Lucas has an ego large enough to represent an entire hockey team. Together, these two are edgy and hair-trigger explosive… and I mean that for more than just in the bedroom!

I like the premise of the story and the characters are well developed, but one thing that repeatedly bothered me was the over-the-top prissy feel of some of the dialogue and internal character monologues. One minute Fallon is cursing out Lucas and the next she’s thinking [...]
