Ready For His Rule (Wild Boys of Special Forces #10) by Angel Payne #BookReview #BDSM

Angel Payne's writing style is Kristen Ashley meets Joey Hill, emotional and introspective—more about the feelings the words inspire than the words themselves. And boy does this story invite you to feel. Just drags you right into the heart of the crazy and sets up a nice cozy fire. Ready For His Rule is recommended for readers who like stories with BDSM themes and free-tumbling emotions.

Early Book Review: Thane’s Redemption (The Song #1) by Nina Crespo

This story has a lot of potential. It’s original and creative and features characters you want to get to know better. Unfortunately, it’s simply far too short. The romance moves so quickly at first that it feels forced, or like maybe the reader isn’t getting the whole picture. Likewise, the characters (initially) aren’t very well developed – not enough to carry the depth of emotion the story wants to portray, anyway. The time-traveling premise, while intriguing, really needs to be better explained and more organically demonstrated.

Book Review: Hard As You Can (Hard Ink #2) by Laura Kaye

*** This review is spoiler-free! Read on with confidence! ***

One of the great things about a Laura Kaye story is you can always count on intense emotion without over-used cliques or boring predictability. Hard As You Can is a standout contemporary romance that honors its ex-military special forces heroes, representing these men in a way that feels realistic, respectful, and grounded. They’re not super heroes and they’re not perfect; they each have subtle character nuances and fit together as a functional tactical unit. Crystal, in the fine tradition of many of Ms. Kaye’s other memorable heroines, brings an alluring mix of [...]

Early Book Review: Hard As it Gets (Hard Ink #1) by Laura Kaye

Hard As It Gets is the first story in the hard ink series, full of sexy ex-special forces military men with a score to settle. Oh and it's set in a tattoo parlor. Does it get much better than that? It started a little slow and took a bit to really get into the story but I definitely enjoyed this book. Nick and Becca are both appealing, loyal characters do are really easy to like and root for. I love his surprising artistic side and her stubborn take-charge attitude. I also like that Ms. Kaye took risks and covered some tough subjects. The ending wraps up the immediate storyline but leaves open some excellent opportunities for the next few stories within the overarching plot arc. [...]
