Twisted was an engaging, quick read that fits nicely into the Dark Protector series lore and ties up some story elements that have been intensifying for the last few books. I enjoyed getting to see the real Terrent Vilks, in both his love and sweetness for Maggie and also his overwhelming ferocity and lethal skill. Maggie's storyline was satisfying as well, especially since Ms. Zanetti doesn't take the easy path for her. Parts felt a little rushed and I think this could have easily been expanded into a longer length novel.
