Midnight Breed Week & Giveaway (US): Meet Hunter

by davincikittieJune 21, 2012

Read our review here!

Name: Hunter

Age: DOB: 8-8-56

Physical Description: Hunter has very rare Gen One dermaglyphs, golden colored eyes, short blonde hair, 6 ½ feet of muscled Breed male

Special Powers: Hunter is a blood reader; he can experience a person’s memories through their blood.

Personality Type/Quirks: Due to his training/raising he views the world in logical, unemotional terms.

Spotlighted in: Deeper Than Midnight (Midnight Breed series #9) by Lara Adrian

Mated to: Corinne Bishop

Memorable Quotes:

“You are the finest thing I have ever touched. I want to be careful with you. I worry that you’ll break under my rough hands.”
~ Hunter to Corrinne, Deeper Than Midnight

Extra info: I knew the moment that Hunter’s sleeping habits were mentioned in Brock’s book Taken by Midnight that he was going to be interesting to read. Until he begins his life in the Order’s compound he never had family or a Darkhaven to rely on.

Most memorable moment from Hunter’s book is when Corinne has asked him to dance and they share their first kiss.

Hmm interesting, but that means you have to bite them first to know their thoughts and memories. It would be cooler to know that from a nice hiding spot.

I don’t know that I would want to experience someone else’s memories. You might find out way more than you want!

Ohhh If I was to choose between Hunter & Chase I wouldn’t be able to. Those are my 2 favorite breed. I don’t think I would like to experience someone else’s memories. I rather not know what was in someone past regardless of how their present or future may affect me.

I love them all :). Hunter’s power is so cool but I’m not sure I’d want it. It might be a bit scary at times to learn so much.

His power would be a pretty good what to torture people. It might come in handy.

I’m in the middle of reading this book right now, but I have read that first kiss moment and it was ‘ah’ inspiring for sure.

This is definitely a gift that would only benefit a vamp. So, I don’t think I’d be impressed to have it.

I don’t think I would like experiencing other people’s memories. The good would be nice but the bad memories would be hard to deal with. It is an interesting gift though.

I love Hunter’s quote! I want to read about him!
Thank you for this quick introduction to the men of Midnight Breed!

I really find Hunter’s powers rather disturbing because the only use for them would be in solving crimes and finding the missing and in my personal life, I would not want to cross into something as dark as those fields. I loved his book and how he becomes something more once he finds his mate. These stories are some of the best.

Hunter is really incredible. I loved seeing (or reading in this case) how he changed and grew as a gen one breed. This series is awesome. It just captivates me like no other.

Thanks so much for all the Breed introductions. I love everyone’s take on the characters and being reminded of their ages was fun, too. I find it difficult to enjoy any other vampire books all that much after reading the Midnight Breed stories. Nothing else compares!

Oooohhhh, I like Hunter, he’s all man. He has an interesting power. experiencing other’s memories through their blood. Does he have to bite them first to get the blood or just from a cut? I guess I’m assuming he needs to ingest the blood for his power to work. I don’t think I’d like the taste of blood, but if I only had to touch it, his power might be nice.

Ugh I am trying to locate this book to buy as we speak! Books a Million does not have it and that is the only bookstore around me. I really don’t want to buy it online because that means I have to wait!!

Hunter’s power was different but useful. I don’t think I would want that particular power. He turned out to be a great Gen one. Even though he was created to be a killer he was gentle and compassionate towards Corrine.
