GraveTells Book Club: Iced fever, winners, and our next read!
How did you guys like Iced?
We had some great conversation this month about the somewhat-controversial new book from Karen Marie Moning (just how young is too young?) and it was awesome to be able to chat about it with all of you (OMG Ryodan… seriously. And Christian… and Dancer!!). For those of you who missed it, you can still discuss Iced with us! We’re leaving the topics up in case we have any slowpokes or newcomers who want to go back and check out the previous books. Click the book cover below to jump straight to the discussion!
As promised, we’ve drawn 5 names from those who signed up and introduced yourselves in the Welcome thread before the deadline (November 7th), and the winners of the swag packs are…
Jennifer (a.k.a. The Book Nympho)
Amanda, our fearless discussion leader, will be following up with you to get your mailing info!
We also like to recognize a member of the GTBC each month who stood out in his or her participation effort. Jackie is this month’s winner and, as a thank you, will be receiving a $7 gift card to the online ebook retailer of her choice! Congratulations, Jackie, and thank you for hanging with us!!
December’s read is…
You might notice that shiny little badge on the front that proudly proclaims this book as a 2011 GraveTells Book of the Year. It was also the December 2011 Book of the Month and its author, Laura Kaye, was voted by our readers as the 2011 Readers Choice Breakout Author. North of Need is one of only a handful of books to receive our perfect score Gold Heart award and The Captain practically gushed over it when she wrote her review. Read our spoiler-free and endlessly entertaining review of North of Need here!
Even if you’ve already read this gem of a holiday story, join us in celebrating the season (and reveling in the sensitivity and sexiness that is Owen Winters) by reading along in the GraveTells Book club.
December giveaway (US/Int)
We’re giving away more swag and bonus prizes this month for all you lovelies who come out to participate in the group chat. Five swag packs will go to randomly chosen group members who RSVP for the event and introduce themselves in the Welcome thread before midnight PST on Wednesday, December 5th.
If you would like to get GTBC invites automatically, friend DaVinciKittie on GoodReads and I’ll include you in the auto-invite at the end of each month so you don’t miss out. =)
Can’t wait to see you all there! Post a comment on this thread if you have any questions.
