Giveaway (US/Int) & Spotlight on: Dannika Dark’s Mageri series novels Sterling and Twist
Yesterday, we posted our review of Sterling, the first novel in Dannika Dark’s Mageri series. Reviewer Molly called it a “must read” and awarded the story a score of 4.5/5… which is just about as good as it gets around here! She said…
Sterling was fresh, humorous, and gripping. One of the most balanced stories in terms of darkness, action, romance, and humor that I’ve read in a long time. I couldn’t put it down and was reaching for the sequel as soon as I finished it.

About the author
Dannika Dark was born on a military base in the U.S. and traveled the world before she was nine. Now she is rooted in the south, but her head is planted firmly in the clouds. Her writing began in early childhood and it wasn’t until the Mageri series that she began to take publishing seriously. After writing sixteen full length novels, it was time to get serious. In addition to writing, Danni does all of her own book covers and photo designs based around the series. When she is not writing, Danni enjoys a great sci-fi or fantasy movie, heaps of chocolate, and unleashing her dark side.
The Mageri Series an exciting new urban fantasy romance series which follows the journey of one woman’s claim to immortality, and her own identity. Dark, unique, and full of unpredictable twists. Sometimes ordinary people are destined for extraordinary lives. |

Dawn, hope you find time to check it out! 🙂
“Immortal freedom” caught my eye. Do the current releases tackle the implications of immortality?
In a world of paranormals and immortals, it is a constant battle to hold your own. 🙂
This sounds really good…what a great review. Definitely adding this to my list. Thank you for offering the giveaway.
Good luck, and I hope you get a chance to read the series one way or the other!

Thank you, Lili. I’m very proud of these covers, and I hope you get to check out the series! 🙂
Thanks for the giveaway.
What was your favourite chapter to write and why?
Great question! Chapter 28, because my original draft went a completely different way. It was one of those moments when the character cried out to me for a rewrite, and I listened.
This sounds like a good series.
Oooohhhh!!! This series looks fantastic. How many books will there be in this series? and How did you come up with the idea for the series?
The covers are awesome too.
I hope you enjoy them!
Four books are written, but I plan to write a fifth. I’m not sure if there will be a six, but it will depend on how things tie up. The book was born from the ashes of a Vampire novel I tossed out, and I can’t say what sparked the idea, only that pieces of that Vampire novel weaved their way into this one in a totally unique and unexpected way.
Like the sound of the books/series. I’ve always liked books where the H/H has magical powers. Love the covers too!
I think we all have a bit of magic in us; it just comes in different forms. 😉 Thanks so much, and I hope you get to check them out!
I haven’t read any of the books in this series yet, but I’m looking forward to getting started.
Best of luck in the contest, and I hope you enjoy them when you get a chance!
