Giveaway (US/Int): Diane Alberts interrogates… er, chats with a foul-mouthed angel and a charming single dad
Please help me welcome the fabulous Diane Alberts and the crew of Divinely Ruined to GraveTells today!
Hello, everyone! I’m Diane Alberts, and today I’m interviewing the sassy, fiery, fond-of-cursing aspiring angel, Rebecca, and the charming, teasing, irresistible human, Tony, who tempts her to fall for him. Both of these wonderful characters can be found in my newest release, Divinely Ruined. It’s the first book in the Divine Temptations Trilogy!
Diane: Okay, let’s get started. How are you two doing today?
Rebecca: ~crosses arms over chest~ Oh, come on! Why does he get all the nice stuff, when I’m the cursing, temperamental one? Everyone knows he curses as much as, if not more than, me.
Tony: Well, she does know us well, my dear.
Rebecca: Hmph. We’ll see about that.
Diane: ~clears throat~ Sorry, you’re right. How’s this: The beautiful, charismatic aspiring angel, Rebecca.
Rebecca: I can work with that. And we’re fabulous, thank you.
Tony: ~rolls eyes~ You’re too much. Really.
Diane: I’m gonna interrupt right there before a fight starts. I know what happens at the end of your fights…so we better halt that before it takes flight. So, tell me what happened between you two when you first met.
Tony: I was loading boxes into my moving truck and feeling pretty damn sorry for myself. I felt that by losing my father’s business, I not only let him down, but my daughter Miranda as well. I had been struggling to make ends meet for the two of use ever since my ex-wife walked out on us…
Rebecca: And you did a great job. ~places her hand on Tony’s knee~ Look at that gorgeous little peanut over there playing with her ball? She had me paint her nails today to match the ball. Isn’t that adorable? ~smiles at Miranda from across the room~
Tony: Absolutely. And it’s even cuter that you match…all over your hand. ~lovingly picks up hand and shows it off. Nail polish covers all five fingers…and some of the wrist~ Isn’t she the prettiest?
Diane: She is. Miranda did a bang up job, I’d say.
Rebecca: She always does. Anyway, I was looking at him as a means to an end—and nothing more. But each time we spoke, or he tortured me with illicit images of us…I learned more about him. And the more I learned…the more I wanted to give into temptation and fall.
Tony: ~snorting~ If you were tempted, you did a damn good job of showing it.
Rebecca: Of course I did. I’m good like that.
~Miranda comes running over and launches herself at the pair~
Miranda: It’s twelve. Time for our walk! You promised!
Diane: Okay, looks like our time is up. Until next time…behave yourselves. I’ll be watching.
Rebecca: Of course we will.
Tony: Absolutely…not.
Miranda: Bye!
Diane: Thanks for having me here today! I hope you enjoyed your little peek into Rebecca, Tony, and Miranda’s life!

She finally meets a decent man–after she’s oath-bound never to touch men again!
Rebecca’s life sucked before she became an angel. Crappy apartment, awful jobs, abusive boyfriends–it was no wonder she jumped at the chance to escape it all and become a real live angel. The problem is Rebecca’s not very angelic, and she’ll have to do more to earn her wings than end her love affair with the word f–er, frick. Especially when she’s assigned to save single father Tony Weis, whose less-than-pure thoughts wreak hell on a telepathic angel’s nerves. It’s all Rebecca can do to keep her hands off him…but when she loses her memory injuring herself to save Tony’s daughter, now it’s Tony’s turn to be her angel and care for her. But will Tony’s devotion tempt her from her angelic path, even if it means being human again? Buy Divinely Ruined: Amazon (Kindle), Barnes&Noble |

Diane Alberts has always been a dreamer with a vivid imagination, but it wasn’t until 2011 that she put her pen where her brain was, and became a published author. Since receiving her first contract offer, she has yet to stop writing. Though she lives in the mountains, she really wishes she was surrounded by a hot, sunny beach with crystal clear water. She lives in Northeast Pennsylvania with her four kids, a husband, and a Senegal parrot. In the rare moments when she’s not writing, she can usually be found hunched over one knitting project or another.
She is a multi-published, bestselling author with Entangled Publishing and Decadent Publishing. She is repped by her fabulous agent, Lauren Hammond of ADA Management. She has, as of this date, two books with Entangled Publishing, and five books with Decadent Publishing. Her February release with Entangled Publishing, ON ONE CONDITION, hit #18 on the Barnes and Noble Bestseller List. She has a lot of projects currently being shopped around by her fabulous agent, and her goal is to write so many fantastic books that even a non-romance book fan will know her name. |

I was just wondering where you get your inspirations from? You come up with some amazing characters
Oh, you never know. Most of the time it’s from my head, but sometimes I get inspired!
Rebecca was all on her own, and she was loud and clear. LOL
Tony was slightly influenced by Jude Law’s character from The Holiday. 🙂
Diane, what’s your favorite part of being an author?
Oh, I love it when people read my nooks and then tell me they enjoyed it. It doesn’t get any more perfect than that!
Loved meeting the characters today! Do any of your characters have qualities similar to yourself, or have any of them done something you dream of doing? Great to be introduced to your work!
Oh, hard one! Hm, I would say I’m most similar to Erica, in my book called Try Me.
And jealous of? Hm. I guess Johanna from ON ONE CONDITION. She gets Damon and to live like a princess. ;P
The book sounds interesting. How’s Rebecca’s life now?
Oh, I’d say she is very happy with her decision she made. 😉
Thank you for the character interview today. It was great meeting them before reading their book. I’m going to have to watch The Holiday to see your inspiration for Tony!
Oh, I love that movie! And I love him in that movie. ~sigh~
i’m just curious, how did miranda managed to paint ALL of her hand? did she pour the whole bottle, or what?
Well, she does love finger painting…;P
My question is how did you decide what your angel should look like. I have read many books about angels and the can have so many different color wings and looks depending on their status. What made you settle on this vision? sdylion(at)gmail(dot)com
I wanted to make angels that were different than any other angels you have ever seen. They still have human emotions until they get their wings, and their wings are shiny like dewdrops–but not visible to the human eye.
Rebecca was very clear as to how she wanted to be portrayed. 😉
Definitely had me with the … “foul-mouthed angel and a charming single dad” Cute interview!
Congrats on the new trilogy, Diane! Can’t wait to read it!
