“She was supposed to kill vampires, not save them. Those were the rules. That was the lore.”
A rare and powerful witch whose blood is lethal to vampires, Leila has always viewed her serryn abilities as a curse. After seeing her mother slaughtered as a child, Leila longs for a safe, quiet life.
That wish is shattered by Caleb Dehain – a vampire with a dark past and a darker heart. The most feared serryn hunter of his generation, Caleb now needs the help of one of the witches he despises to save his dying brother.
A serryn who has no reason to help him. Except that he has her sister.
Caleb and Leila are each other’s worst nightmare – but the slow-burning spark of attraction between them is undeniable. Will Leila’s blood be his damnation? Or could her kiss be his salvation?

    Wow, where to begin . . .

First of all, Lindsay Pryor writes attraction like no other. So for starters–I am looking forward to the haunting scenes of raw and heart-palpitating seduction. The lady has an amazing voice.

Second, the story, and perhaps I should make this first, as after at least two or three years, I still remember the amazing and tantalizing bite we were given in her first entry to New Voices.

It’s a unique, breathtaking story which has not only stayed with me, but obviously hundreds of others through all these months. Why? It’s just that good, that brave, that unforgettable.

The cover is stunning and I know from reading Blood Shadows that the inside will be the same!
Blood Shadows is a compelling read and I was captivated by Kane the dark and delicious vamp. He almost makes Kresley Cole’s Lothaire seem soft in comparison and the amazing thing is Kane stays true to his dark lethal nature throughout. There’s lots of jaw dropping, gasp out loud moments and unexpected twists and I am anticipating all of this in Blood Roses.
Lindsay J. Pryor has created a dark and intriguing world and I can’t wait to find out how bad Caleb can be and how he becomes Leila’s worst nightmare or maybe her darkest dream.

Can’t wait for Blood Roses! The teaser at the back of Blood Shadows has me down on my knees begging for more (and I did beg Lindsay. A few times *winks*)

I don’t think there’s just one thing I loved about Blood Shadows. Kane is my kind of vamp, though he scares me a little. Caitlin has the determination to take him on. Didn’t see the twist in their story coming, and this was one of the few books I bought and devoured on the same day. Pick it up, I guarantee you won’t regret it. I’ve recommended it to everyone I know 🙂

I forgot to include that the cover is AWESOME and so is Blood Shadows. I’m just so very excited for Blood Roses. It’s been a really long wait.

I think the cover for Blood Roses is absolutely stunning – it oozes darkness and sensuality. I loved Blood Shadows for many reasons; it’s been a while since a book has hooked me and stayed with me the way Blood Shadows has. The story isn’t just a paranormal romance, it delivers a thrilling ride as you follow Caitlyn and Kane’s story, and leaves you totally breathless, wanting more. The writing transports you into their world and you feel as though you’re in the room with the characters, if not living what they are living.
Blood Shadows is dark, it’s compelling and it’s full of suspense. For this reason I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on Blood Roses which I understand is a lot darker, and reveals even more about the world of Blackthorn. I can’t wait to read Caleb and Leila’s story.

What can I add that hasn’t already been said about this fabulous book? I loved the cover of Blood Shadows and diving into the pages, I wasn’t disappointed. Lindsay is the master of dark paranormal romance. I was struck by the strength and determination of Caitlyn, and her courage in taking on notorious Kane Malloy. As for Kane? It took 400 years for him to meet his match. And what a battle!
If I was told I could read only one vampire book this year, this one would be it.
Can’t wait for Blood Roses to come out, and if the fantastic cover is anything to go by, it’ll be another sleepless night as I wander into Blackthorn to meet Caleb and Leila.
