Book Tour & Giveaway (US/Int): Jeffe Kennedy shares her favorite heroes
Please help me welcome author Jeffe Kennedy!
It’s fun to have the old year end and see all the “favorites” and “best of” pop up for the previous year. Especially when something I’ve written shows up in the lists! 😉
2012 was a good year for me – and the first time that my work showed up in the favorites lists. A couple of review blogs put ROGUE’S PAWN as one of their favorite reads of 2012 – something that I just feel so flattered by, given all the fabulous reads out there – but the one that really tickled me was Rogue being picked as one of the best book boyfriends.
Because he totally is for me.
I suppose that’s true for all writers of anything with any romantic elements – we all have to be at least a little in love with our heroes. But I deliberately wrote Rogue to work out a particular fantasy. He has the brooding depths of Heathcliff, the looks and power of Roarke, the saucy sexuality of Bones, the inscrutability of Mr. Darcy, the alpha-male determination of F’lar, the steadfast loyalty-when-you-least expect-it of Joscelin Verreuil, the wily strength of Sterling Packard, the tortured magic of Vanyel, the irreverent vitality of Lestat and the cursed tragedy of the Beast.
Did you get all those? I ranged quite a bit over the space-time continuum. Did you have to Google any of them? Be honest!
In fact for the giveaway – a free copy of Rogue’s Pawn, in the e-format of your choice – comment and tell me how many of those you knew and have read. (One of them is kind of a multi-source gimme, but any version is fine by me.)
Let’s hear it for book boyfriends!

About the authorJeffe Kennedy took the crooked road to writing, stopping off at neurobiology, religious studies and environmental consulting before her creative writing began appearing in places like Redbook, Puerto del Sol, Wyoming Wildlife, Under the Sun and Aeon. An erotic novella, Petals and Thorns, came out under her pen name of Jennifer Paris in 2010, heralding yet another branch of her path, into erotica and romantic fantasy fiction. Since then, an erotic short, Feeding the Vampire, and another erotic novella, Sapphire, have hit the shelves. |

Thanks for the fun post and giveaway! I knew about 1/2 of that list 🙂
You need to get busy, Arely! I’d say 1/2 is pretty good, Erin. Thanks for stopping by!
I know about 4 of them, after I leave here I’m going to look the rest of them up.
Let me know if you can’t find any of them!
Only 1. Yikes.

Half is pretty darn good!
I’ve either read or have some knowledge of five of them. I’ll have to Google the others!
Five seems to be the typical number here – good for you!
OMG I know 6 of them. LOL Surprised myself!
ooh – that might be the best score yet, Sherri! (Since Mary, below, didn’t give us a number.)
I know most, so that’s not too bad.
I have heard of all of them except for F’lar andJoscelin Verreuil.
Wow, pretty surprised at that! YAY, me!
Thanks for the giveaway =)

F’lar is pretty dated at this point and Joscelin is arguably more from fantasy (or alternate history) than romance, so well done!
I know six. Off to Google to find the rest!
good luck!
I only know four of the characters mentioned above: Roarke, Bones, Mr Darcy and Lestiat.
those are good ones to know!
I know six of them. Heading to Google to look up the rest.
have fun!
4; the one I know best is Flar. Love the Pern series!
Love, love, love the Pern books! I’m impressed you got that one!
6 of them. 🙂
Very nice!
I knew Bones (assuming he’s the Night Huntress Bones) and Lestat. I’m feeling rather poorly read! Hah!
Thanks for being our guest, Jeffe!! I’ve loved seeing everyone’s range of reading preferences through how many heroes they recognized. Fun event. =)
Is there any other Bones??? Lurv that vampire!
Thank you for hosting me – I had a lot of fun, too!
Congratulations to Mickala M. on winning the ebook of Rogue’s Pawn! Thanks to everyone who came out to chat with Ms. Kennedy and add more books to our list of “must read heroes”!
Ack! I totally forgot to check back on this until just now. Mickala – I don’t see an email addy for you. Please contact me at Jeffe at JeffeKennedy dot com. Thanks for the fun times, everyone!
