Julie always manages to write gripping, emotional stories, and The Eternity Cure is no different. Even though it's the middle book in a series, it's still compelling and unique. Allie is a likeable and strong heroine who readers will root for to have a happy ending. You can't help but feel for her as she struggles to fight her instincts and protect the boy she cares so much about. The secondary characters are all interesting and have distinct personalities, which ensures no two characters are alike. Micro-Review: The Eternity Cure (Blood of Eden #2) by Julie Kagawa
Holy krikes, Batman! I'm gonna keep this short because I'm a little traumatized from finally finishing this book to think coherently. I generally don't enjoy urban fantasy and this book is GOOD urban fantasy, even better than The Immortal Rules. Julie Kagawa is a master at painting vivid, gut-wrenching scenes and taking the plot in twists and turns you just can't predict. And if you can predict them, you really hope like hell you're wrong and what you think is going to happen, doesn't.
