Prophecy is a fun read and it doesn't get too dark even though there's a war going on. Alex is a very relatable heroine and someone you can sympathize with as she's thrust into a battle she never imagined would take place. Gryf is a refreshing hero and his respect (and eventually love) for Alex is felt on every page. Lea Kirk has created a vast world that's full of possibility and opportunities for great stories. Fans of sci-fi romance should definitely give this book a chance!

Brazen (B-Squad #1) by Avery Flynn #BookReview
Taz Hazard and Bianca Sutherland may have started off their relationship with a bang (and a forced dose of the suggestive drug Genie’s Wish), but their secret-keeping habits could truly be killer. Especially now that Bianca finally has a lead on her missing friend’s locale and she has to pretend to be a happy newlywed with Taz only hours after their relationship takes a major hit. And this is not just any mission: Taz and Bianca are going undercover at a private resort where public nudity and sex are the norm, and the kingpin of a potent mind-control drug is on the loose. Look out for scorching scenes and explosive confrontations in this first full-length novel of Avery Flynn’s B-Squad [...]

Bullet Proof (MacKenzie World #2 / B-Squad #0.5) by Avery Flynn #BookReview
Bullet Proof starts off with a rush of attraction between boxing star Taz Hazard and socialite Bianca Sutherland at an Eyes Wide Shut-style party. She's looking for a missing friend and—once he sees her there--he's trying to keep her out of trouble...the lethal kind.
These two steam up the pages with their smokin' hot chemistry, and their cutting personalities make for a fascinating pairing, all snark and punch and determination. The plot arc is simple and straightforward, the ideal foundation for a book of this shorter length.
Bullet Proof is the starter story for Avery Flynn's B-Squad series, set in Liliana Hart's MacKenzie Family universe, and it's a [...]

Allegiance of Honor (Psy-Changeling #15) by Nalini Singh #BookReview
I said in a recent review that I have a very small list of auto-buy authors right now: Nalini Singh is one of that elite group. And after my initial doubt in this story, my faith is fully restored. More than! Allegiance of Honor has no central main couple. This is unusual for not only the Psy-Changeling series but also for books and series in this genre mashup (paranormal romance/urban fantasy).
This is a rewarding story for long-time fans of the series. Maybe it's the calm before the storm, or maybe it's a hard-earned respite from tragedy, but I came away from Allegiance of Honor feeling happy and hopeful and still wanting even more from this series. The plot threads are [...]
