Review: Archive of Fire (Sentinel #1) by Betsy Dornbusch

Thinking they have no other choice if they want to find and rescue their missing mother, twin brothers Kaelin and Aiden seek out Sentinel, a secret covert security agency their mother has always been tight lipped and cautious about. Like opening Pandora box, contacting Sentinel changes their lives forever, leading them to do, say, and be things they never imagined, and unveiling frightening new insight into their own history and abilities. Betsy Dornbusch, author of Sentinel: Archive of Fire, on demons, darkness, & anti-heroes

I was asked an interesting interview question the other day: What inspired you to write about demons? The quick and dirty answer is I like bad-ass characters who do the wrong thing for all the right reasons and get violent doing it. They’re just… cool. Urban fantasy has tons of brilliant anti-heroes, and I’m thrilled to add mine to the population. But none of that really answers why.

"Thank you so much for the wonderful review, DVK! While I’m delighted you loved the book, I always enjoy your reviews, positive or negative, because you go into detail and give me a different perspective from when I was writing it. Plus, when you enjoy it to the point that you recall favorite scenes and quotes, it gives me the chance to recall my own favorite moments in the book (wink). Thank you again!" ~ author Joey W. Hill
