Book Tour & Giveaway: A Sliver of Shadow author Allison Pang on saucy unicorns and relating to OtherFolk
One of the things I enjoy most about writing Urban Fantasy is the ability to write both the fantastical and the mundane and mix them all up. In the Abby Sinclair series, many of the characters are mythological in nature and have their own lives and issues outside of the story. I tend to poke fun at a lot of tropes in my books – mostly tongue-in-cheek pop culture stuff (i.e. references to sparkly vampires, etc.), but I also tend to run snippets of additional plots that don’t always come blatantly to the surface.
